Hello! I'm Andrew Noblet, a curious soul with a truly global perspective—born in Chile and shaped by rich experiences living in Puerto Rico's vibrant culture, Ohio's midwestern values, and now New York's endless energy. Each place taught me something different: resilience from my Chilean roots, warmth and community from Puerto Rico, steady determination from Ohio, and boundless possibility from New York.

I'm passionate about exploring life through diverse interests that span the physical, creative, and intellectual. Whether I'm building with my favorite technologies like Astro and Lit, tinkering with smart home automation, or diving deep into Eastern philosophy and Greek mythology, I believe in living authentically and embracing the adventure that each day brings.

Hobbies & Passions

Physical & Outdoor

Skateboarding has been a passion since childhood—passionate enough that at 14, I successfully petitioned my town to build a skatepark! The persistence paid off, and seeing that project come to life taught me the power of advocacy and community engagement. I also love snowboarding for the pure exhilaration and bike riding through New York's diverse neighborhoods, connecting with the rhythm and flow of movement.

Creative & Technical

Playing guitar gives me a creative outlet that balances my technical work. My 3D printing projects range from practical household solutions to experimental designs—there's something satisfying about bringing digital ideas into physical reality. Smart home technology fascinates me; I love building automated systems that make daily life more efficient while staying true to minimalist principles.

Intellectual Pursuits

I'm deeply interested in politics and how policy shapes our digital future, and I find history essential for understanding today's technological and social patterns. Eastern philosophy—Confucianism's harmony, Buddhist mindfulness, and Shinto reverence for natural balance—guides my approach to both code architecture and life decisions. Greek mythology reminds me that human struggles with technology, power, and purpose are as old as civilization itself.

Life Philosophy

My worldview is shaped by a blend of Eastern wisdom traditions that complement each other beautifully. Confucian principles of harmony and continuous learning influence how I approach both code architecture and relationships—everything should be balanced, purposeful, and constantly improving. Buddhist mindfulness keeps me present and compassionate, especially valuable in our fast-paced digital world. Shinto reverence for natural balance reminds me to respect both the digital and physical environments I inhabit.

Greek mythology grounds me in the understanding that human struggles with technology, power, and purpose are timeless. Whether it's Prometheus bringing fire to humanity or Pandora's box of unintended consequences, these ancient stories offer profound insights for navigating modern innovation responsibly.

All of this culminates in my core belief: less noise, more meaning. Whether I'm writing code, building relationships, or making life decisions, I strive for simplicity, intentionality, and authentic connection.

Early Adventures

My curiosity started young and led to some memorable learning experiences. At 13, I built my first website at nebulae.org and dove deep into PHP development with php-nuke—my first taste of content management systems. This was back when Adobe Dreamweaver was the tool of choice, and I used it religiously for every project.

I was so fascinated by web development that I bought a several-hundred-page book on Adobe ColdFusion and read it cover-to-cover, absorbing every detail about server-side programming. By my teens, I was ambitious enough to build my own water-cooled computer system—let's just say I learned the importance of preparation and leak testing the hard way. Towels were definitely needed, and the experience taught me valuable lessons about both hardware and humility! 😅

Meanwhile, my skateboarding passion was equally strong. At 14, I didn't just wish for better facilities—I petitioned my town council to build a skatepark, presenting a case for youth engagement and community recreation. They listened, and the skatepark became a reality, teaching me that persistence and clear communication can turn ideas into action.

These early adventures shaped my core belief that curiosity, persistence, preparation, and a willingness to learn from mistakes (sometimes messy ones!) are the best tools for any journey.

Life in New York

New York perfectly matches my energy for exploration and growth. The city's diversity mirrors my own global journey, and I love how every neighborhood offers something new to discover. Whether I'm exploring on my bike through different boroughs, testing out a new 3D printing technique in my apartment, or finding quiet spots to read about history and philosophy, the city provides endless opportunities for curiosity and connection.

The tech community here is incredible—I particularly enjoy connecting with people who share my passion for open-source development, minimalist design principles, and building technology that genuinely improves people's lives. There's something special about discussing the parallels between ancient Stoicism and modern minimalism over coffee, or sharing skateboarding stories that bridge generations and cultures.

Living here reinforces my belief that the best solutions—whether in code, design, or life—often come from embracing complexity while maintaining simplicity at the core. It's the perfect environment for someone who appreciates both cutting-edge innovation and timeless wisdom.
